The Bioengineering Laboratory (LABBIO) was founded in October 1999 by Marcos Pinotti Barbosa.LABBIO is the central node of the Biomedical Technology Center of UFMG, the University laboratories network devoted to the research on Biomedical technology and medical devices.
The laboratory consists of 1 meeting room, 1 room for presentations, 3 workshops and 2 computer rooms and 1 room for the administration
The goals of the Bioengineering Laboratory are:
- Develop high quality scienNfic research in the field of Biomedical Engineering and BiomimeNcs;
- Make available to the clinical partners useful engineering tools and new developments to improve the patients' life quality;
- Translate the academic excellence into innovaNons available to industry;
